The Challenge
What the Client Needed
District agricultural officers across Tanzania lacked access to timely, spatial crop health data — making early intervention on crop disease, drought stress, or flood damage impossible. Surveys were conducted manually, arriving weeks after the optimal intervention window.
Our Solution
How TANGIS Delivered
TANGIS built a crop monitoring platform on Google Earth Engine processing weekly Sentinel-2 multispectral imagery across 1.2 million hectares of priority farmland. The platform delivers NDVI-based crop health maps, drought stress alerts, and seasonal yield estimation reports through a web dashboard and mobile app to district agricultural officers.
