The Challenge
What the Client Needed
Tanzania's land registry was fragmented across paper records, incompatible legacy databases, and disconnected district offices — making national land policy enforcement, investment facilitation, and conflict resolution nearly impossible. The Ministry needed a unified, scalable digital platform to modernise land administration at national scale.
Our Solution
How TANGIS Delivered
TANGIS designed and deployed an integrated land information system combining satellite-derived cadastral mapping, AI-assisted parcel delineation, and a cloud-hosted web GIS portal. We established a national geodatabase on ArcGIS Enterprise, developed an automated AI classification pipeline processing 940,000+ parcels, and built a portal serving 200+ district offices with role-based access.
