The Challenge
What the Client Needed
The utility's 4,800 km high-voltage transmission network was documented in outdated paper records with no digital spatial representation. Physical inspections were manual, infrequent, and dangerous — leaving the network vulnerable to undetected defect accumulation and expensive emergency repairs.
Our Solution
How TANGIS Delivered
TANGIS conducted a full drone corridor survey of the 4,800 km network, collecting RGB and thermal imagery at 2cm GSD resolution. We trained an AI defect classification model on 50,000+ annotated tower and conductor images, and built an asset management platform integrating the spatial asset registry, defect database, and predictive maintenance scheduler.
