The Challenge
What the Client Needed
TANROADS managed 34,000 km of classified roads with no systematic spatial asset registry or condition assessment methodology. Maintenance budgets were allocated politically rather than based on objective data — leading to underinvestment in high-priority corridors and expensive emergency repairs.
Our Solution
How TANGIS Delivered
TANGIS conducted a full mobile LiDAR and camera survey of the classified road network, trained an AI model to classify 12 categories of pavement distress from imagery, and built an asset management platform enabling TANROADS to query road condition, generate maintenance prioritization reports, and plan budget allocation spatially.
